SEARCA donates Agricultural Publications to Western Mindanao State University and Ateneo de Zamboanga University

The Western Mindanao State University and the Ateneo de Zamboanga University are the latest recipients of #SEARCA‘s book donations. This donation is part of the Center’s goal to promote and distribute its publications to agricultural colleges and universities across all Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) member countries.

Mr. Sonny Pasiona, SEARCA Senior Associate-Communications, and Mr. Monci Hinay, Co-Founder of Kids Who Farm, facilitated the handing of the publications to Dr. Elderico P. Tabal, Dean of the College of Agriculture of Western Mindanao State University and Fr. Arnel T. Ong, SJ, Vice President for Basic Education and Junior High School Principal of the Ateneo De Zamboanga University.

SEARCA, through the Young Forces for Agricultural Innovation (#Y4ARI) initiative, is collaborating with Kids Who Farm’s Hydroponics Para Sa Masa project that is being rolled out in Zamboanga City. The community tech-transfer initiative aims to make hydroponics farming more accessible and easier to implement for young people.
