WMSU-ATBI met with the representatives from the DOST-IX, JRMSU and Ateneo de Zamboanga TBI program via online meeting (Zoom) to discuss their project proposal that they intend to submit to the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce and review the objectives, methodology, expected outcomes as well as to identify any potential challenges or risks that might affect its implementation. The meeting was productive and cordial, with parties exchanging constructive feedback and suggestions on how to improve the quality and feasibility of the project proposal. The DOST-IX representative expressed their appreciation for WMSU-ATBI’s input and support before submitting it to DOST-PCIEERD by March 21, 2023.

Regional Startup Enablers for Ecosystem Development (ReSEED) Program aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the regions by providing funding support to PCIEERD-funded Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) to lead in establishing and formalizing a Regional Startup Ecosystem Consortium.

This program will support the regional startup ecosystem consortium to establish a regional startup development roadmap, come up with strategies to promote the startup program of the PCIEERD/DOST, establish a pool of mentors to increase fundability of startups in the regions, craft skills enhancement programs for the TBI team and other startup enablers, and more!
