RAISE-WesMin joins ATBI Master Class Graduation and 3rd National Conference & Incubatee Summit: Advancing Agri-Aqua Business Innovation
The ATBI Master Class Graduation and 3rd National ATBI Conference & Incubatee Summit was an exciting and inspiring event. It brought together many great minds from across the country, creating an environment of learning and collaboration. The WMSU team, including Dr. Reynante E. Autida (RAISE Program Leader and ATBI Master Class participant), Engr. Swdin Hussin (ATBI Master Class participant), and Emilyn D. Varona (Regional Focal Person), proudly represented our region.
September 9, 2024, kicked off with great energy. While the second wave of participants traveled to join the event, the first group dove into Module V: Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) for ATBI sustainability. The session, led by Dr. Ruth C. Diego, was engaging and informative, sparking lively discussions. An afternoon workshop allowed participants to share ideas and experiences, adding a hands-on aspect to the learning. The evening was spent setting up the product display for the exhibit, marking another productive end to the day.
On September 10, 2024, the excitement continued with the start of the BINNOVATION event, which drew ATBI Master Class participants and project IPTBM leader, Engr. Arvic Francisco, along with incubatees like Mr. Jeffrey Sereno and Ms. Mirza Rivas. The theme, “Harnessing Business Innovation Through Business Incubation,” reflected the forward-thinking atmosphere. The exhibit was a showcase of creativity, and the talks, like Dr. Ria Lia C. Canlas’ session on how innovation shapes the future, left everyone inspired. Dr. Billy Tang also shared practical strategies for taking technology to market, and the panel explored how ATBIs can contribute to sustainable development.
The day ended with the signing of a new partnership agreement for CLSU-AFTBI Incubatees, a significant milestone for future collaborations. That evening, the socio-cultural event brought everyone together in celebration, and WMSU’s dance performance was a standout moment, highlighting the region’s talent.
September 11, 2024, continued the energy with informative talks on packaging trends, digital marketing strategies, and a fascinating global perspective on business incubation in Thailand. The ATBI Master Class graduation in the afternoon was a proud moment for everyone. The graduates received their certificates with words of encouragement from leaders like Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora and Dir. Noel Catibog. WMSU’s very own Dr. Reynante Autida closed the ceremony with a heartfelt speech, leaving everyone motivated for the future. The product exhibit was a success too, with incubatees making PHP 7,715 in sales (Ruru Mushrooms, Pyanggang, Calamanci Concentrate, calamanci Juice and Lettuce chicharon.
The event was more than just a conference—it was a journey of learning, connection, and innovation, shaping the future of agri-aqua business incubation.
