Strengthening Innovation: Regional ATBI Operations Manual Review & RAISE Strategic Planning

In a collective effort to bolster regional development and innovation, the “Regional ATBI Operations Manual Review & RAISE Strategic Planning” workshop was held on December 2-3, 2024. This event brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU), J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI), Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), and Western Mindanao State University (WMSU). The workshop aimed to refine the operational framework of the RAISE ATBI initiative and set strategic directions for the future.

The workshop commenced with a focus on revising the foundational documents of the Regional ATBI initiative. Atty. Maria Pilar Luisa Elago opened the day with a session on Standard Operating Procedures, emphasizing consistency and clarity in operations across participating institutions. Her presentation laid the groundwork for streamlined efficiency and alignment with institutional goals.

Engr. Arvic S. Francisco followed with an engaging discussion on Program Communication Planning. He highlighted the importance of crafting targeted communication strategies to effectively reach diverse stakeholders, a vital component for expanding ATBI’s influence.

The day concluded with insights from Mr. Given Love S. Senturias, who tackled two essential topics: Defining Regional ATBI Service Offerings and Financial and Environmental Sustainability. Senturias underscored the importance of tailoring service offerings to regional needs while incorporating sustainability measures to ensure long-term viability. Participants actively engaged in discussions, exchanging ideas on how to enhance ATBI’s role in fostering regional economic growth.

The second day focused on aligning strategies and vision among the stakeholders. It began with Annual IPTBM Accomplishment Presentations from JRMSU, JHCSC, PRRI, and ZSCMST. Each institution showcased its achievements, shared innovative solutions, and identified areas for improvement.

WMSU took center stage with its comprehensive report on RAISE initiatives, including IPTBM, ABH, ATBI, and KMH projects. The presentation provided valuable insights into progress made and opportunities for collaboration.

Dr. Reynante E. Autida, RAISE Program Leader, delivered a keynote session critiquing and guiding future initiatives. His expert analysis emphasized the need for strategic alignment and innovation to maximize the impact of RAISE ATBI.

The workshop concluded with the finalization of critical deliverables, including the Regional ATBI Operations Manual, Business Plan, Service Offerings, and Sustainability Plan. These outputs reflect the collaborative efforts and shared commitment of all stakeholders to drive economic and entrepreneurial growth in the region.
