RAISE WMSU-ATBI strengthens Incubatees with Technology Management Training
The RAISE WMSU-Agri Aqua Technology Business Incubator conducted its Technology Management Training for Incubatees last June 20, 2025, aiming to strengthen the skills and knowledge of the incubatees specifically on Zampen Native Chicken, Oyster Mushroom and Vermicast Production.
In the first session, Asso. Prof. Ma. Jocelyn E. Cuadra discussed key aspects of ZamPen Native Chicken Production & Management, including proper breeding practices, recommended housing structures, biosecurity measures, feeding strategies, and common disease prevention. She also emphasized the economic potential of native chicken in local markets.
In the second session, Ms. Mercelyn Tilus shared step-by-step techniques on cultivating oyster mushrooms, from preparing substrates and managing humidity to harvesting and post-harvest handling. She also lectured on organic fertilizer making, highlighting the benefits of using natural farm inputs for sustainable production. A hands-on demonstration guided participants in making Fermented Fruit Juice, Fermented Plant Juice, and Oriental Herb Nutrient, explaining how each formulation contributes to soil and plant health.
Finally, Ms. Emilyn D. Varona led a session on Simple Business Plan Preparation
, guiding participants in defining business goals, analyzing market demand, estimating startup costs, projecting income, and identifying potential risks. This provided them with practical tools to translate ideas into viable agri-business ventures.
