The Department of Science and Technology Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development launched its first Incubatee Summit in a special program held Nov. 23 – 25, 2022.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong together with Project Leader Dr. Ruth Diego and stakeholders of Agri-Aqua Business Incubation Network of the Philippines led the ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

The Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubation (ATBI) is one of the strategies identified by the (DOST-PCAARRD) to commercialize the technologies and outputs of local agri-aqua research and development inputs.
The special program featured a total of 22 ATBIs, the majority of whom are from state universities and colleges across the country, showcasing their start-up businesses.

The mayor said these projects are key factors in regaining a higher economic growth for the entire city of Baguio in the field of agriculture and aquaculture. – Via Fronda

This activity aims to strengthen the agri-aqua technology business incubation system by bringing together the ATBI project teams, the incubatees, the industry, and stakeholders in the public and private sectors to share experiences, foster partnerships, and solidify relationships with a view to the creation of businesses for socioeconomic development.
