
RAISE-ATBI conducts Client-Incubatee Monitoring and Evaluation Tool Development Training
RAISE-ATBI successfully conducted the ATBI Client-Incubatee Monitoring Tool Development training on February 7, 2025, at the RDEC Conference Room, WMSU Main Campus. The event brought together their CMIs to enhance monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for agribusiness incubation.
Setting the tone for a day of insightful discussions, Engr. Arvic S. Francisco, TBIU Head, and Mr. Given Love S. Senturias, Former ATBI Project Development Officer, led the morning session with an in-depth presentation on the role of ATBI in supporting technology-based entrepreneurship. They elaborated on ATBI’s commitment to bridging the gap between research outputs and commercialization, while also equipping CMIs (JHCSC, JRMSU, PRRI, & ZSCMST) with the tools necessary for sustainable business development.
Ms. Emilyn D. Varona, RAISE Project Technical Specialist, delivered a comprehensive lecture on monitoring and evaluation tools, emphasizing systematic tracking of ATBI client progress through key performance indicators. She introduced methodologies for designing monitoring frameworks, leveraging digital platforms for real-time assessment, and integrating best practices from other incubators.
Following her presentation, Mr. Ahmed A. Antao, ATBI Project Technical Assistant, facilitated an interactive Q&A workshop, where participants actively engaged in discussions regarding challenges in implementing monitoring tools. Attendees collaboratively proposed enhancements to data collection and reporting mechanisms, tailoring the ATBI Client Monitoring Tool to meet the specific needs of technology adopters.
A photo session followed, capturing the spirit of collaboration and dedication among attendees. In his closing remarks, Dr. Reynante E. Autida, RAISE Program Leader and Regional ATBI Project Leader, underscored the importance of establishing a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to ensure the success of Co-incubation initiatives. He expressed gratitude to all participants and reaffirmed ATBI and RAISE’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in co-incubation.
The training served as a crucial step in strengthening ATBI’s ability to support technology adopters, ensuring the long-term success of agribusiness ventures within the incubation program. With enhanced monitoring tools, CMIs are now better equipped to track progress, address challenges, and drive impactful results in the agribusiness sector.
