Value Added Training empowers Oyster Mushroom Growers in Vitali
More than ten participants, including ATBI incubatees Mr. Bonifacio Laborada and Mr. Rene Sibug, joined the Value Added Training on Oyster Mushroom held last June 17, 2025 in Vitali, Zamboanga City. Led by Resource Speaker Mr. Bryan Ber S. Bondoc and Oyster Mushroom Expert Ms. Mercelyn B. Tilus, the training started with a lecture on food safety, hygiene practices, and various techniques in producing value-added mushroom products.
Participants later took part in hands-on sessions making oyster mushroom chips and mushroom garlic oil. The activity provided local growers practical skills and knowledge to help them innovate and improve their mushroom-based businesses.
