WMSU-ATBI in collaboration with the representatives from the City Veterinarian conducts an Initial Local Farmer Site Visit
WMSU-ATBI recently conducted an assessment of local farmer’s surroundings from Tigbalag, Tugbungan, Lunzuran, and Arena Blanco, each of them has adopted ATBI’s technology which they sought to use to support them throughout the Business Incubation program, this include WMSU-ATBI’s featured technology: ZamPen Native Chicken Production, Oyster Mushroom Production, and our partnered ATBI of SKSU flagship technology Halal-Goat Compliant Production. WMSU-ATBI, in collaboration with representatives from the City Veterinarian, visited the farmers location to conduct an initial assessment and evaluation. The team with their technology expert, Mr. Mario Garan assessed the soil, water source, terrain, existing vegetation, and the other structures that could be used for farming. They also considered the accessibility of the site for transportation of the product and animals.
Based on their observation, each of the farmers surrounding have good potential for cultivating chicken, mushroom, and goat. The team provided recommendations for upgrades to the existing infrastructure and biosecurity measures necessary to ensure the success of their farm. WMSU-ATBI also worked with the representatives from the City Veterinarian to evaluate the waste management of their site and potential risks for disease transmission. WMSU-ATBI are confident that with these recommendations, they will be able to diversify their products and increase their income. WMSU-ATBI are excited to continue supporting our local farmers and helping them achieve their goals. Soon, they will be part of WMSU-ATBI as Incubatee. The team will surely support them by conducting necessary trainings, building network for partnerships, and by promoting their product for market visibility.
